Residential and Commercial Design
Once we are contacted, we begin by visiting the client’s home or business and assessing what they would like to be accomplished. It is important for us to get to know the client and build a relationship with them. This helps us to get to know their personality and style in order to make the design unique to them.
During our consultation process, we start with having clients complete a general questionnaire covering what services they are would like us to perform, what their general vison is, and what budget they are working with. Next, Motieve Interior Design creates an estimate that includes the price for our services and the timeframe for the process. Once the client has decided to move forward, we schedule a time to sign the contract, collect the deposit, and take measurements and photos.
We then put together a design board for each space, along with a 2D or 3D digital model of the space being serviced, for visual aid. This will include things such as colors, textures, material, finishes, furnishings, flooring, etc. We present this to the client for their approval. Once the client is happy with our design, we set up dates to start the process and the installation. Our team will reach out to any vendors and subcontractors to get pricing from their end, to include in a separate quote from our services. The final design and the quote are then sent to the client for approval.
Our vendors and contractors come in to perform the discussed design and complete all the agreed services. Furniture, décor, and finishing touches will then be made. We make sure every detail is attended to. Finally, there is a walk through with the client the once the project is finished.
Interior Decorating
The approach of interior decorating is different than the design aspect, due to the fact this is more focused on furnishing and decorative elements. In this process, we will assess the current layout of the space, and come up with ideas to make the space feel more atheistically pleasing to the client’s style. This will include ideas for color schemes, textures, furniture, artwork, and other added in accessories.
Interior Design
Interior design differs from interior decorating because it relates to the configuration and layout of the space. The execution of design is more in depth than the interior decorating process alone. We strategize to come up with a layout that fits the clients specific needs and style in order to create a functional and beautiful interior.
Staging
We offer staging for sellers or real estate agents that are looking for someone to stage homes. This will make the home look more appealing to potential buyers. This also helps potential buyers visualize how to possibly utilize the space as well as helping the potential buyer visualize themselves in the space. Staging a home not only demonstrates a home's full protentional, but often it can help the home sell faster.
